Considering the purchase of a DVD burner since I learned that 1x for a DVD burner was not 150kb/s like for a CD burner...boy that would be slow. The Pioneer writes both DVD-R and DVD-RW, but only at 1x to 2x, and the Ricoh burner will write at 2.4x...equivalent to 9x for a CD burner...so not too slow.
